Do you have time free to volunteer? Would you like to promote healthy eating in your community? Then the Hills Foodies Volunteer program is for you!
Adelaide Hills Community Health Service Dietitians are currently recruiting potential Hills Foodies Volunteers for our free training program in August. After training foodies are involved in many different activities promoting healthy eating within their community. Eg. cooking groups, making healthy recipe books, working with local schools and kindergartens, and they are involved in our community garden.
Transitplus and The Aldgate Community Centre (The Hut) recently sponsored an excursion for the Vietnamese families living in Lobethal. The orientation tour was organised as an opportunity for the families to see their wider Adelaide Hills community and for the families, in particular the children, to experience a bit of Australiana and see koalas, kangaroos etc and get an idea of all the towns that make up the Adelaide Hills.
