Red Cross presents First Aid Cabinet to LHA

Story ThumbnailPictured right are local Red Cross President, Barb Wingrove and members, Faye Watkins and Beryl Stephen, making the recent presentation of a First Aid Cabinet to Brian Brock, President of the Lobethal Heritage Association.

The cabinet will be installed in Building 19 and will hopefully not be put to use … but it is good to know that it is there!
The Lobethal Heritage Association are very grateful to the Red Cross for making this donation!
Held on Friday, March 9th, was the opening of the new Lobethal Mill Shop, “Creswick”.

Around 100 local and not so local people gathered to celebrate the new shop in the Gallery at the Heart of the Hills Market.
Mike Willoughby introduced Keith Conlon who launched the shop with Creswick Manager, Boaz Herszfeld.
This will begin an association to boost the Woollen Mill support and we are all looking forward to it.

Budding artists have until the end of this month to get their entries in for the design of a logo.
Entries should be sent to “Logo Competition, c/- Val Michael, 22 Frick Street, Lobethal 5241”.

There is a $50 prize for the winner.

Meanwhile . . .
The Significance Assessment is under way, and the Preservation Training Workshop is full and we continue to work on Sunday afternoons in Building 19.
