The Lobethal Community Website, www.lobethal.sa.au was launched last month at the Lobethal Bierhaus.
The website launch was introduced by Kathryn Featherstone, the chair of the Lobethal Community Association (LCA). Kathryn spoke about the objective of the LCA to support the development of the town and wellbeing of its residents and said the website is a fantastic tool to enable the LCA to deliver its goals.

Twelve months ago, almost to the day, a mother and son from Lobethal were packing their bags for South America. Dianne and David Schwarz were both heading off to Buenos Aires and were about to have two vastly different experiences.
David Schwarz has been an endurance motorbike rally rider for the last 23 years and was going to compete in the world class Dakar Rally, a gruelling 14 day desert race. David competed in the 2005 Dakar Rally in Africa and that experience helped him considerably this year in South America. On November 21st. 2009, children from the Gumeracha School Children helped to celebrate the Gumeracha Hall’s Centenary with many of them carrying flags, being escorted from the school to the hall by Lindsay Randell, Valwyn Ross and Darren Clarke, members of the Barossa Light Horse (pictured above).
