A unique experience holiday has just opened in the Adelaide Hills.
The Jonathan Arts Centre is an artist’s retreat where guests spend a relaxing, inspiring, rejuvenating weekend improving their painting skills while enjoying delicious breakfasts, lunches and gourmet dinners and luxury cottage style accommodation.
Despite being just 40 minutes from Adelaide, the Centre is set in one of the most beautiful and tranquil locations in the hills. 100k views to Lake Alexandrina, complete peace and quite, and a relaxed atmosphere ensure everyone chills out.
Host, Liz Hirstle, provides expert tuition and guidance tailored to the individual making the weekends suitable for both novice and experienced painters.
Guests can work in the studio, paint any of the inspiring views around the 40 acre property, or even venture further afield into the Adelaide Hills – painting in the footsteps of Hans Heisen!
Hopefully the fresh air will give guests a healthy appetite as Liz’s superb cooking is sure to inspire them to eat more than they should. All meals are included plus morning coffee and afternoon tea.
The accommodation provided offers the option of staying in ‘The Cottage’ with it’s ensuite bathroom, shady veranda and lawn or in one of the twin or double rooms in Jarramarrumba House. Guests also have use of the lounge, dining room, terrace and 40 acre grounds.
Liz has also just started offering day courses so locals can spend the day improving or learning a new skill. Up coming courses include Working with pastels, Painting flowers and Perspective and Balance.
Additional information, availability and booking information can be found on the centre’s web site www.jac.net.au.
